CERT24Patients’ health data leaked from dentists’ information system
Innovaatik, a company providing an information-system service to dental-care providers, notified the police that its managed computer system had been accessed unlawfully on multiple occasions and that patients’ personal and health data had been downloaded. The preliminary assessment is that the breach affected data belonging to more than 300 healthcare providers in Estonia. Police detained a 45-year-old Estonian citizen as a suspect and stated that the suspect no longer has access to the data.
