Ransomware recovery CEO charged over secret ransom payments

Zohar Pinhasi, the owner of MonsterCloud, was charged in the United States over allegations that he told customers he used proprietary technology to recover encrypted data while actually paying ransomware operators for decryption keys. Pinhasi pleaded not guilty.
