Intel 471 investigated the recruitment of company employees to conduct insider attacks — 02.10.2026

In its report “Insiders for Hire: Underground Recruitment, Access Claims and Insider-Enabled Services,” Intel 471 analyzed 85 records involving employee recruitment, claimed insider access and services allegedly enabled by employee privileges. Criminals sought employees who could retrieve restricted information, manipulate accounts, facilitate SIM swaps, interfere with shipments, enable fraud or support intrusion and extortion.
