Rhysida ransomware group targets Berlin government ahead of vote
Berlin’s state government said it was dealing with an extortion attempt following an August cyberattack. Rhysida claimed to have stolen about 5.79 TB of data, including personal information, personnel and administrative records, credentials, and information about vulnerabilities in Berlin’s water supply. The claims have not been independently verified. Officials refused to pay the ransom and said that, so far, no election-related data had been stolen.
