French government messaging service Tchap breached after account compromise

France’s digital affairs directorate, DINUM, reported that an attacker accessed Tchap, the French government’s encrypted messaging platform, through a compromised user account. The account was blocked, and an investigation is ongoing to determine which conversations were accessed and what information may have been exfiltrated.
