OpenAI AI pipeline generates 948 Linux root privilege-escalation exploits in 30 hours

OpenAI described an artificial-intelligence pipeline that dynamically reproduced 1,724 Linux vulnerabilities within 30 hours and generated 948 working local privilege escalation (LPE) exploits that could allow an unprivileged local user to gain root access. The pipeline identified 2,308 candidate findings, produced PoCs for 291 information-leak vulnerabilities, and incurred $1,213,430 in API credit costs.
