Hackers disrupt refrigeration systems at European supermarkets
A cyberattack disrupted refrigeration and cooling systems at stores operated by multiple supermarket chains in Belgium, the Netherlands, Sweden, Luxembourg, Ireland, and Estonia. Hackers remotely changed temperature settings on freezers and cooling systems, shut down refrigerators, or activated defrosting systems. More than 115 stores were affected, but it is unclear whether the incidents were coordinated or targeted individually.
