Ransomware response expert arrested in ShinyHunters FBI hack probe

A Canada-based cybersecurity expert was arrested in the United States on suspicion of involvement in ShinyHunters attacks, including the recent compromise of FBI systems. The suspect has not been officially named, but media reports identified him as Edward Dubrovsky. He was charged with conspiracy to threaten to impair the confidentiality of information with intent to extort money, and with interference with commerce by threats.
