Cryptographic Algorithms Lifecycle Studies
The Estonian Information System Authority regularly commissions studies of the lifecycle of cryptographic algorithms to provide an overview of the current use and good practices of cryptographic tools and, where necessary, support replacing algorithms currently in use with newer and stronger ones. The 2026 study covers widely used cryptographic protocols, data structures and libraries, the replacement of algorithms vulnerable to quantum attacks with post-quantum cryptography, and details concerning digital wallets.
