Ransomware Attack Hits Food Supply Giant JBS
JBS USA reported an organized cyberattack affecting some servers supporting its North American and Australian IT systems. The attack disrupted JBS facilities in Australia, the United States, and Canada and caused wider effects across the meat industry and food supply chains. JBS did not publicly call the incident a ransomware attack, but a White House spokesperson described it as one and said it was perpetrated by a criminal organization likely based in Russia.
