Chinese hackers exploit WordPress and ZyXEL flaws to steal government data

A Chinese-speaking threat actor exploited known vulnerabilities in WordPress and ZyXEL GS1900 Smart Managed Switches and also targeted multiple other technologies. The attacks obtained data from 996 devices and at least 18,566 backend database records, including accounts, plaintext passwords, and personally identifiable information connected to government and law-enforcement agencies.
