RIA monthly review: cyberattacks hit several Estonian boiler houses and pumping stations
CERT-EE recorded 378 cyber incidents with an impact during the month and identified 1,576 malware-infected devices through automated monitoring. On 30 November, cyberattacks affected the industrial automation controllers of at least three Estonian companies: the remote-control devices of eight boiler houses operated by a district-heating company, the remote-control devices of nine wastewater pumping stations and one drinking-water pumping station operated by a municipal water company, and controllers belonging to a construction-materials manufacturer. The boiler houses and pumping stations continued operating under manual control or despite the loss of remote-control functionality.
