Russian state hackers use new RedFlick technique to push malware

According to Microsoft researchers, the Russian state actor Star Blizzard is using a new malware installation tactic called RedFlick to deploy the CosmicPulse backdoor. The attacks begin with phishing messages and have targeted Ukrainian individuals and institutions, as well as international NGOs, think tanks, governments, and financial institutions that supported Ukraine politically or financially.
