A use-after-free vulnerability in the Linux kernel’s AF_UNIX socket subsystem can allow an attacker to escape a container and gain root on the host. DepthFirst released exploit code targeting Ubuntu 26.04. According to the source, Ubuntu has not shipped a fix for Ubuntu 26.04, 24.04, or 22.04 LTS.
