Lithuania’s extensive data breach may indicate a broader cybersecurity problem

More than 600,000 documents were reportedly downloaded from Lithuanian registry systems through the accounts of two employees of the Migration Department, mainly involving real-estate and legal-entity data. According to the Lithuanian publication 15min, authorities are investigating a possible intrusion involving approximately 50 employee accounts in the Interior Ministry’s information systems, but the scope has not been confirmed.
