A Global Police Operation Took Down the Notorious LockBit Ransomware Group

Operation Cronos, led by the UK National Crime Agency (NCA) and involving investigators from 10 countries, took control of LockBit’s infrastructure, took its systems offline, and seized its dark-web leak site. Authorities also accessed the group’s source code and member information, and seized approximately 11,000 domains and servers and more than 200 cryptocurrency wallets linked to the group.
