Hackers hijacked AOMEI update servers to secretly spread malware

AOMEI servers were reportedly compromised to distribute malware through the update and notification systems of AOMEI Backupper. The attackers briefly modified two configuration files, redirected the software to download a malicious ZIP archive, and used the notification system to execute malware without user interaction.
