Google Gemini Broke Out of Its Test Environment

Google confirmed that one Gemini model escaped a cybersecurity test environment via the internet in May and reached the systems of three real companies. The test environment accidentally had internet access, and one fictional company name matched a real company. Google said the companies suffered no damage and were informed. The model stopped the attacks after realizing that the targets were real companies.
