Estonia hit by cyberattacks after Soviet memorial removal

The Estonian government said it repelled major cyberattacks that targeted its institutions after the removal of a Soviet memorial. The Russian hacker group Killnet claimed responsibility. An Estonian official said that, apart from brief and minor exceptions, websites remained fully available throughout the day and that the attack was not effective.
