Attackers abused Meta AI support to take over Instagram accounts

Multiple Instagram users reported that their accounts were hijacked after attackers convinced Meta’s AI-powered support tools that they were the legitimate account owners. In some cases, the associated email address was changed and a password reset was initiated. During recovery, users became stuck in automated AI/chatbot loops without access to human support.
