Cyberattack disrupts Belgian tax services before filing deadline

Belgium’s finance ministry temporarily took MyMinfin, the country’s main online platform for managing tax and financial affairs, offline after a cyberattack, just days before a deadline for reporting certain types of income. The Federal Public Service Finance is investigating the extent of the attack. There is currently no indication that a data breach occurred or that data was stolen, although investigators are examining the possibility of data exposure.
