UK Fraud Cases Hit Record High

More than 220,000 cases were filed with the UK’s National Fraud Database between January and June 2026, the highest number recorded for the first half of a year. Identity fraud increased 9% year on year to nearly 130,000 cases, while account takeover cases reached nearly 40,000.
