Paternity and fertility tests among data stolen in Asper Biogene cyberattack
Approximately 100,000 files, totaling 33 gigabytes, were illegally downloaded from Asper Biogene’s database. The data spanned from 2009 to the present and included paternity, fertility and genetic-condition tests. Some files containing information on approximately 10,000 people included names, personal identification numbers and other personal and health data that could be linked to specific individuals.
