Ukrainian Extradited from Ireland Pleads Guilty Over Role in Conti Ransomware Scheme

Ukrainian national Oleksii Lytvynenko pleaded guilty in the United States to conspiracy to commit wire fraud for his role in the Conti ransomware operation. Prosecutors said he participated in attacks between 2021 and 2022 in which victims’ systems were encrypted, data was stolen, and Bitcoin ransoms were demanded.
