Signal group chat for top EU officials shut down over hacking fears

The European Commission asked some senior officials to stop using a Signal group chat because it feared the group could be targeted by hackers. According to the source, there is no evidence that communications of group members were intercepted, but messages asking officials to provide their Signal PIN codes were identified as phishing attempts.
